The Client

Dick’s Sporting Goods is an official retailer of the National Football League. They offer a wide variety of team specific gear and jerseys.

The Problem

After a long and and rigorous season, two teams fought, sweat, and clawed their way to the main stage at Super Bowl LII (52). The Philadelphia Eagles were set to take on the defending champs, the New England Patriots. As the biggest game on the gridiron approached, DSG wanted to make sure they were in the midst of the conversation. The social conversation was going to be wrapped around the event and DSG did not want to be left out.

The Solution

Leading up to the game, our team produced enticing visuals to build up the anticipation of the game. This included field goal screenshot games and countdown graphic pieces that DSG posted a few days prior to the game let the viewers know they were just as excited about the game coming. Our team also prepared real-time creative that DSG could post during the game when a significant play happens. This allowed them to be in the conversation on twitter around the game. For halftime, our team was on standby for the halftime score. We used social media as a source for those who were not able to watch the game to stay updated. As soon as the clock struck the end of the first half, we created a graphic piece for DSG to post for those who needed to know the score. Our team was also prepared for the outcome of the game. We produced creative pieces that highlighted and congratulated the new world champions.
